Now onto the present.
Harper started Mother's Day Out yesterday at Christ United Methodist Church. I have been looking forward to it for awhile :) She will go on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-2, the school is only 0.7 miles from our house--so hopefully we'll walk to school when the weather cools off some, two of her little "friends" from the neighborhood are in her class, AND they have chick-fil-a day once a month. It could not be better!
I've been pretty worried about how Harper would do all day though. As expected, she did start crying hysterically when I left {and I'll admit, I was holding back tears of my own}, but she had a HUGE smile when I picked her up! The teacher said that she had a great day and that she was very impressed with Harper's vocabulary. {At that point I had to hold back happy and proud tears.} This was her daily report from the teacher--
Apples??? New to me.
Harper was very excited when I {and later Jason} asked her about her day. She told both of us that she played with cars, too. I still expect a few tears when I drop her off tomorrow, but at least now I know the crying won't last long and she'll have a really fun day!
Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I barely sat down while Harper was at school. I went to the grocery store, did laundry, changed sheets, ironed, got dinner together in the crock pot, and made Jason's lunches for the remainder of the week. Luckily, Harper took a two hour nap after she got home and I was finally able to rest, too!
