18 months

Harper turned 18 months old on the 13th.  She is doing SO MUCH and I'm worried I will forget it all.  So here is a post for me :)

She is about 33 1/4 inches tall {75th %ile) and almost 25 pounds {50th %ile}.  That means she has grown 3.5 inches and 5 pounds in the past 6 months! Sheesh!

We turned her car seat around last Friday.  It is so much nicer for all of us!  I know it is recommended to wait until age 2, but Harper is as tall as some 2 year olds I know!

She says too many words to keep up with!  She has said at least 30 words, but probably more.  Some words are very clear {car, bus, bounce, bows} and some we understand because of what she is pointing to/looking at {bird, blue jeans, iPad}.

When I ask her to count something, she says "two".

When she gets her hands on some toilet paper, she wads it up, bends over, and wipes her bottom.  If I find time {or remember}, I plan to get her a little potty.  Just to get her used to the idea.

Her favorite snack is pistachios.  After her nap, she goes to the pantry, points, and says "nuts."

When we catch her doing something she shouldn't, she runs off saying "no no no no no."

She says "beep beep" when backing up or tying to get around me.

She loves to help Swiffer.  She has her own now and follows me around the entire house.
She also "vacuums" around her high chair after every meal, just like Mommy.  {Except I use a real vacuum and she uses her corn popper.}

She can climb onto the couch and other furniture all by herself now.

She loves going up and down stairs and practices every chance she gets.

She LOVES her Baby Genius Favorite Nursery Rhymes DVD.  She sings along and dances and does what they do on the video {nods her head, stomps her feet, falls down, etc.}.  She still wants us to dance with her, too.

She loves bouncing and rocking and throwing her ball back and forth with someone.

She still loves her books.  She likes to sit in the glider by herself and "read" them.  Heaven forbid you try to sit with her.   Except at nap time and bedtime.  Then it's okay.

She is beginning to have an interest in coloring.

She loves playing with her stuffed animals and doll.

And now her bows.

That's all for now... I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.  Don't be surprised if this post has a few edits over the next couple days!

Moving

Well, we did it.  We bought a new house in Sugar Land.  And by new, I mean a house built in 1988 that is in need of a complete renovation.

And we have a contract on our house.

All in one week.

I'd love to tell you more, but I feel like I have about a million things I need to do.  And Harper has suddenly decided that playing in her crib is not so fun anymore.

Do you ever feel like you have so much to do that you just freeze and don't know where to begin?

So there may not be many, if any, blog posts for awhile.  I'll be back at some point though, I promise!
